TENSES DALAM BAHASA INGGRIS

Tenses pada dasarnya didasarkan pada WAKTU dan CARA PENGERJAANNYA

 Sebagai orang yang pernah menjadi pengajar Bahasa Inggris di sekolah dan Lembaga Pendidikan, rasanya senang sekali jika bisa membantu orang- orang terdekat dalam mengatasi masalah dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris.

Kali ini ada seorang teman yang ingin mempelajari TENSES agar bisa menyusun skripsi dengan baik.

Tenses dalam Bahasa Inggris yang didasarkan pada waktu, antara lain:

• Sekarang (present)
• Dulu (Past)
• Akan datang (Future)

Sedangkan jika didasarkan pada cara pengerjaannya, maka dikategorikan menjadi tiga jenis, yaitu:

• Simple (Sederhana). Yaitu menunjukkan bahwa pekerjaan tersebut SEDANG dikerjakan, TELAH dikerjakan atau MASIH berlangsung/ terjadi.
• Continuous (Sedang berlangsung/ sedang dilakukan). Yaitu menunjukkan bahwa pekerjaan tersebut SEDANG berlangsung/ sedang dilakukan.
• Perfect (Telah dikerjakan). Yaitu menunjukkan bahwa pekerjaan tersebut TELAH selesai dilakukan.

TENSES DALAM BAHASA INGGRIS

1.      Simple Present

(+) S + V1 (+s/es)                     >> I work everyday

(-) S + Do/ Does + not + V1     >> I don’t work everyday

(?) Do/ Does + not + S + V1?   >> Do/ Don’t you work everyday?

2.      Present Continuous

(+) S + is/ am/ are + Ving         >> I am working now

(-) S + is/ am/ are + not + Ving             >> I am not working now

(?) Is/ am/ are + S + Ving         >> Are you working now?

3.      Present Perfect

(+) S + have/ has + V3                         >> I have worked at this company for two years

(-) S + have/ has + not + V3     >> I have not worked at this company for two years

(?) Have/ has + S + V3?           >> Have you worked at this company for two years?

4.      Present Perfect Continuous

(+) S + have/ has + been + Ving           >> I have been working here for two hours

(-) S + have/ has + not + been + Ving   >> I have not been working here for two hours

(?) Have/ has + S + been + Ving?         >> Have you been working here for two hours?

5.      Simple Past

(+) S + V2 + O                                                 >> I worked here last month

(-) S + did + not + Inf (V1)                  >> I did not work here last month

6.      Past Continuous

(+) S + was/ were + Ving                      >> I was working here last month

(-) S + was/ were + not + Ving             >> I was not working here last month

7.      Past Perfect

(+) S + had + V3                                  >> I had worked here for three months last year

(-) S + had + not + V3                          >> I had not worked here for three months last year

8.      Past Perfect Continuous

(+) S + had + been + Ving                    >> I had been working here

9.      Simple Future

(+) S + will + Inf (V1)                          >> I will go there next month

(-) S + will + not + Inf (V1)                  >> I will not (won’t) go there next month

10.  Future Continuous

(+) S + will + be + Ving                        >> I will be working there

(-) S + will + not + be + Ving               >> I will not be working there

11.  Future Perfect

(+) S + will + have + V3                       >> I will have worked there

(-) S + will + have + not + V3              >> I will have not worked there

12.  Future Perfect Continuous

(+) S + will + have + been + Ving        >> I will have been working there

(-) S + will + have + not + been + Ving            >> I will have not been working there

13.  Past Future

(+) S + would + Inf / V1                      >> I would work there

(-) S + would + not + Inf/ V1               >> I would not work there

14.  Past Future Continuous

(+) S + would + be + Ving                    >> I would be working there

(-) S + would + not + be + Ving                       >> I would not be working there

15.  Past Future Perfect

(+) S + would + have + been + V3       >> I would have been worked there
